Green Now is ready to do teleseminar/webcasts! And we are very excited about this. If you have any specific experts you want to hear interviewed, please let us know.

We are currently setting up the interview schedule. We would like to JV with green list-holders on this too, so if you want to be involved in promoting these events let us know.

In the first month of GreenNow we have accomplished an amazing amount of things. Check out our links with over 50 0f the best green resource links ever and more to come! And we have a great video of David Wright speaking about Sustainable Ballard and how to get your urban area going green. We also have this cute mascot, Froggy, to help folks jump into GreenNow--he is encouraging us all to consider the results of going green--life for all species on Earth!

During September GreenNow:

Purchased a Charles 804 ethanol still thru solicited donation and bidding on eBay. (here's what it looks like>>>>>>>>>>>}
Arranged with Laguna Farms and the Green Energy Network to assemble an ethanol manufacturing facility in Sebastopol.
Facilitated a meeting with Green Energy Network volunteers to coordinate the project.
Arranged for a work crew to setup the still, boiler, and accessories.
Secured access to 70 gallons of old wine to start the process with the still.
Arranged to have networkers canvas the local farms and vineyards for more mash materials.
Set up the GreenNow blog with over 50 major green resource links on it, all researched and reviewed.
Published a newsletter about GreenNow to our lists.
Recorded and edited a video of David Wright from Sustainable Ballard.
Researched many sites about ethanol and gasification.
Attended the Green Building Expo in SF.
Gathered information for further research at the expo.
Written several business proposals and our business plan.
Secured an umbrella organization to accept tax-deductaible donations for us.
Began initial contact with several green resource product manufacturers for our store.
Secured a great price to be able to economically sell the stills profitably.
Secured a paying, video production job recording the setup, manufacturing process, and the manufacturer.
Began networking on Zaadz about GreenNow and establishing discussion groups there
Followed up with all the great Zaadz response and our list keeps building.
Did a work-trade with StarDoves to get an email ad about GreenNow going out to over 600,000 new agers.
Received supportive endorsement by the SF Medical Research Foundation, the Global Peace Foundation, Sustainable Ballard, (and Fred's group in Shasta--name?)
Enlisted volunteers and networkers to help the project.
Designed a logo for GreenNow.
Secured the Domain Name for GreenNow.org
Found a mascot for GreenNow, Froggy.

Our goals for the next month are twofold:

Build a still production facility, operate the machinery and mash making, and train on the ethanol manufacturing process--while video recording it.
Establish an office/meeting/networking center for Green Energy Network & Ethanol Now.

We are addressing the specific need for the office center to be supported right away for this project to be successful. If we can get any help to cover the expenses of what we have already identified we need, it would be appreciated in this timely moment more than any other.

Without this ability to coordinate the project and network it through an office and website, it could get bogged down. We have a great crew working on this; and with this working alliance amongst Laguna Farms, Green Energy Network, Ethanol Now, and GreenNow we have great momentum going now with fantastic potential.

With some financial help right now, GreenNow could coordinate this office to help all involved achieve the full potential of our group efforts.

With it we can:

Definitely manifest a Northbay green sustainable fuels changeover,
Help the environment,
Help the local economy,
Create fuel cooperatives that are economically reducing the consumer's costs.
Video record and educate others to do the same, encouraging them to follow the model we set up at the Sebastopol facility with the Green Energy Network.

We will network the information to hundreds of thousands of people through this project and potentially affect the lives and environments of millions.

Stay tuned to the GreenNow blog for the latest report from the San Francisco Green Building Expo. We have lots of new weblinks we are putting up as we research the info we got at the Expo about solar, building materials, techniques, and resources. It is wonderful to see the green industry growing in all directions at once.

The Charles 804 ethanol still pictured above will probably be our first product to sell at a discount. We have a great deal from the manufacturer on this unit, bought one thanks to a donation, and are setting it up this week. Sustainable Ballard is the most together urban sustainable community we have found. This website is loaded with useful information about community sustainability in operation. This group has seriously made headway into becoming the model for other urban communities to emulate, and their experience is growing by leaps and bounds. One of their most successful projects was a hands-on bio-diesel class in the local High School.

Sustainable Ballard will help you out with any questions on how to do the same with your community. They have many valuable resources to learn from and lots of experience.

NCAP is one of the oldest websites serving the green energy interests of US citizens. It has many grant-funded projects like the one they do in Montana to teach farmers and ranchers how to grow green fuels for sustainability among many other things.

This group is both non-profit and for-profit. It is a leader in providing information and resources; but it's strongest points seem to be in the ways they can help out if you are needing funding or learning about sustainable techniques. They have info for organic sustainable food crops, and water-saving irrigation techniques too.

FRUEL is here! FREE FUEL FOR YOUR MUNICIPALITY!

Greg Goble is the founder of the non-profit business called "Fruel"--which means "FREE FUEL" for all municipalities! This is no joke; it is a very serious plan and application with extensive research and lots of government documents to prove it will work. BUT HURRY! The carpet-baggers would like you to pay for the dumping of the municipal waste materials, which they would collect from tax payers, and then sell it back to the taxpayers as ethanol fuel for the municipal vehicle fleets across the country.

BUT Mr. Goble's plan shows how every municipality could not only save the taxpayers the expense of dumping the municipal waste, but also fuel all the municipal vehicles and still have lots of ethanol left to power Metro-transit buses or school buses. WOW! This is the most powerful community sustainable plan for cities we have ever seen!

Check out all his links and see the proof, using the government's own facts and figures on bio-fuels made from refuse and garbage. This is one to act on immediately, and get your local municipal government going in the right direction. The President signed the Energy bill last year, which mandates all government municipalities to become sustainable and non-polluting with their fuels. Many State and local governments have followed suit with similar bills or laws now, so this should be easy to get rolling in your community.

The facts on this website will blow your mind as to how close we are to actually not needing any petroleum at all in this country; and most of all--it costs less than it does to dump our trash--to make free ethanol fuel from our waste!

This is the most ambitious eco-village concept we have heard about, but based more for "mainstream" people rather than the typical new age environmentalist. These folks have plans, well-laid-out descriptions of each facet, and a proposal for the forming of a green sustainable village of 10,000 people--a great idea and a noble endeavor. Definitely worth checking out and possibly joining. Seems like $30,000-$40,000 gets your land to build on to be part of it, but there is obviously some kind of screening process too. This may seem like a new "pipedream" to some, but it is very well thought out. Definitely the wave of the future, based on sound principles and good research. After reading all the details, I certainly want to join up or connect with them. Fits our "Green City" idea!

This group has been a leader in the sustainable community movement since its inception in 1977. It features a retreat center that grows organic food for its guests' meals. and has wonderful mineral hot springs that geo-thermally heat all the buildings.

Or you can visit and enjoy the day in the beautiful Oregon mountains, capping it off in a naturally fed hot tub of mineral waters.
